- characteristic with practically all PC INTERNAL modems, which is why
- folks in tech support land hate internals. They are a genuine pain in
- the backside to troubleshoot; No lights to look at; cannot even use
- an RS232 Breakout Box. The only advantage to them is that they're cheap
- and you usually do get a buffered UART built into the board design.

- you're reading in the comp.dcom.modems forum, there are many folks still
- experiencing problems. PNP will improve with time, but will never be a
- replacement for a full async breakout box or a datascope.
